THE TEAM
Mr. James R. Leahy still plays an active role in the company; however, he is slowly allowing his sons to take his place: Michael is the President and CEO, and Daniel is the Vice President of logistics. Mr. Leahy has also assigned the title of President of the Board of Directors to his sons.
Over the years, the company has developed excellent associates and a high performance management team.

The management team:

  • Doug Anderson, V.P. Sales, Marketing & R&D.
  • Dan Tully, Director of Purchasing.
  • Guylaine Yelle CGA, V.P. Finance and Administration.

Bringing associates into the company has expanded our vision and brought new ideas to light:

  • Vicky Boyd, Production Coordinator.
  • Don Keddy, Director of Sales & Marketing for the USA.
  • Richard Métras, Director of Maintenance.
  • Gerald Beaudoin, Director of Mechanics.
  • Stephane Viau, IT Administrator.
  • Brent Frier, Engineer.
  • Louis Gendron, Director Quality and Processes.

Leahy Orchards’ 210 employees form a winning team that we encourage by regularly offering continuing education programs.
Since communication between employees and management is a priority, effective means of achieving this is in place. A newsletter and special events is published every two months and employees are encouraged to offer input though a suggestion box.

Employees are also given a booklet of current policies and regulations, and participate in semi-annual meetings to learn about new projects and developments. In 2006, the company established a new structure for evaluation and employee self-evaluation to learn more about their opinions and increase their involvement with the company.

We do not lack vision!

Leahy Orchards is an industry pioneer because we approach every innovation with large-scale vision and forethought.
